ABOUT THE POSITION

Contractors will assist in managing a workload of active cases with the Immigration and must be able to prioritize, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines within a changing fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of recent work experience
  • Experience with time management
  • Experience with word and adobe acrobat pro
  • Availability to respond to requests within an hour during the hours of 9 AM - 6 PM Pacific Time
  • Excellent writing skills required

Contractors must also have the integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential matters. Will work closely with attorneys & paralegals on several administrative and legal projects.

  • Scheduling appointments, managing emails and assessing the client’s needs
  • Assist immigration Legal assistants and attorneys with drafting and preparing applications USCIS applications, including:
  • I-130
  • DS 260s
  • N400
  • I-90s
  • Familiarity with consular proceedings and hardship waiver applications
  • proficiency in independent work with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct interviews (HSI's) to evaluate the extent of clients' hardship.
  • Acquire client declarations and scrutinize them for accuracy.
  • Systematize and collate client records for hardship waiver applications.
  • Compose and develop hardship waiver petitions along with supporting materials.
  • Interact with clients to elicit supplementary information and clarification, when necessary
  • Conduct legal research on immigration law and procedures.
  • Candidates must be dependable, hard-working, and flexible with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, as well as great attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned in the legal /admin field.

Administrative Support to different legal departments

  • Provide general administrative support, such as handling email correspondence, phone calls, and other administrative tasks remotely.
  • Coordinate virtual administrative activities, such as preparing digital materials, managing virtual filing systems, and supporting the legal team in remote collaboration.
  • manage outbound calls and emails, forwarding them to the appropriate parties within the legal team.

Client Information on SOPs and Policies:

  • Assist in furnishing precise information to clients concerning our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
  • Contribute to fulfilling Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements for clients by ensuring accurate and comprehensive communication.
  • Monitor version control processes to guarantee document accuracy and coherence in collaborative work.
  • Organize shared documents systematically to enhance accessibility and maintain a structured approach within the team.

There will be lots of interaction with clients, excellent customer service is required.

The right candidate must have great computer literacy, and time management skills.

MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • 1. Electricity and Internet;
  • 2. Reliable workplace and webcam;
  • 3. Anti-malware security on their workstation.

Employment / Work Type: Remote - Contractor Position

Estimated 40 hours per week.
Schedule: Mon to Fri 9:00 am to 5:30 pm PST

Our office is open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM U.S PACIFIC / Monday to Friday
7:00 AM to 2:30 PM U.S PACIFIC / Saturdays

The current need is 40 hours per week occasionally OT

Compensation: $7/hr - 9/hr USD
